Statement:

I spent my early years immersed in language, metaphor, and daydreams.  Those decades of introspection are the foundation of my current work, which is abstract but suggestive of landscape.  My focus is on beauty of surface, rich development of  tone, and balance broken and regained.  My paintings are visually rich and emotionally evocative, layered and meditative.
